Overview: From the executive summary: ‘Regular communication between the Board and staff of an organization can be improved by including the staff members on the Board listserv. However, including senior staff in strategic planning sessions at every Board meeting requires an important decision. There are two choices: either to bring staff members to Board meetings, or to being Board meetings to staff members. Experts suggest that the latter can prove to be an easier and cost efficient solution.’ The case study discusses the issue of developing participation between staff members and Board members.
