Overview: From the executive summary: ‘By the early 20th century, it was clear that women's lifestyles had changed, and that working women increasingly had less time to dedicate to volunteer involvement and leadership. As a result, voluntary associations knew that they would have to make significant governance and organizational changes to attract competent, socially conscious women to fill leadership positions. In addition, the associations needed to become truly international and adopt a common vision that would transcend social, economic, cultural, and political borders. Experts believe that odyssey for such changes would transpire in increments over the next decade and yield a common vision embraced by women throughout the world.’ The case study discusses ways to market associations internationally.
