Overview: Bluetooth technology provides a short-distance wireless link between devices such as a cell phone and headset, or a computer and mouse. Invented by Swedish telecommunications giant Ericsson, Bluetooth was adopted by a consortium of communications, computing and consumer electronics companies. Each Bluetooth device has a transmitter and receiver, as well as encryption and linking capabilities.
