Overview: If the participants are not made aware of the reason for the team building program there can be some serious hostility. Some coordinators like to "Keep the people in the dark" and surprise them when the team building program starts. Another common idea is, we will not tell them what we are doing and when it starts they will be totally surprised. These two ideas are a recipe for disaster, and a competent team building facilitator's worst nightmare.
