Overview: There are many reasons why bosses don't give recognition. It could be that you are so busy that the opportunity slips by and you forget about it later or think it's too late at that point. Or you may find giving recognition is embarrassing for both you and the person or that if you single one person out, others might feel slighted. Or perhaps you think your employees know when things are going well and they don't need to hear from you about it. These reasons and many others all stop supervisors/managers from giving their employees the praise they well deserve.
