Overview: When Small To Midsized Enterprises (SMEs) realized their organizations could also greatly benefit from scaled-down versions of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, there was a rush from both large and small ERP vendors alike. With a maturing enterprise ERP installation base, new sales to large businesses are stagnant for the major ERP players, so they are now setting their sights on the SME market. As a result, large ERP vendors are now competing with smaller ERP vendors for their piece of the midmarket share.
