Overview: Some Aerospace & Defense (A&D) executives worry that today's global business environment of high demand with high levels of complexity is moving too fast for their supply chains to keep pace. We actually believe that velocity at low costs with flexibility is increasingly what customers want. Are the risks of underperformance real? They are indeed. Costs and inventories are growing. Service levels are either lagging or not meeting customer expectations for emergency response and flexibility. Lead times are increasing as capacity is utilized.
