Overview: Achieving excellence in an organization is all about accurately diagnosing the health of a company's supply chain. However, it is impossible to improve performance without measuring the performance. Performance measurement involves three key factors; first, measurement requires resources that, are mostly in short supply, secondly, it is difficult to access the metrics, and the resources that have the best access to the numbers, and finally, to deal with the question of what to measure. The paper examines the major challenge faced by the companies in effectively measuring performance.
