Overview: Decision-making involves choosing the most appropriate solution to a problem from amongst a large number of solutions. The decision-making process involves identification of the problem, developing and analyzing alternative solutions, choosing and implementing the best solution, and evaluating the decision quality. Management Science involves systematic study and analysis of mathematical models of problems. Decision-making plays significant role in Management Science. The paper examines the aforesaid role and discusses decision-making under certainty, risk, and uncertainty.
