Overview: You are nearing the end of your studies and excitement and trepidation is building about the prospects of leaping from school to career, do not underestimate the importance of planning. Planning allows you to realize your dreams. The first step is to allow yourself to dream, think big, think wide, and think of your final goal. Next, look at the steps necessary to achieve that goal. If your final career goal, for example, is to become principal of a school, realistically you can't graduate with a university education degree and walk into that position. Break down your final career goal into smaller, more manageable goals. Chart your plan of action. Break down all the steps necessary in order to achieve your final goal.
