Overview: Organizational Structure (OS) is the framework that defines reporting relationships between different positions within the organization. However, the OS, once developed, is not permanent. Organizational Design (OD) refers to the management decisions and the set of structural elements used to effect changes in the OS. The paper examines the basic principles of information age as applied to the present information-centric business age.
