Overview: The marketing plan of an organization is the roadmap that details out the planned marketing activity towards creating a competitive advantage for a particular product. Several stages are involved in the marketing plan. The propagation of product related message among consumers is known as marketing communication. Advertising is one of the marketing communication channels and plays a significant role in the marketing plan. The two major types of advertising are consumer advertising and professional advertising. The advertising approach used depends on the type of marketing strategy followed. The paper examines the dynamics of advertising in the marketing process.
