Overview: Ethics, essentially, consist of a set of moral guidelines towards conductance of an appropriate behavior. Such behavior conforms to professional standards of conduct. The corporate code of ethics consists of a set of moral principles and values that govern the behavior of the organization with respect to what is right and what is wrong. It provides a framework for the operationalization of ethical conduct in business practices. Such a framework covers all aspects of business and decision-making. It is imperative for the organization to create a culture that supports ethical for the success of an ethics program. The paper examines basic principles of business ethics and discusses their operationalization in the organization.
