Overview: The corporate code of ethics consists of a set of moral principles and values that govern the behavior of the organization with respect to what is right and what is wrong. An ethical behavior is operationalized through proper implementation of the corporate code of ethics in the organization. There exist four different perspectives of analyzing ethical behavior. They are utilitarian, individualistic, moral and justice. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spells out an organization’s commitment towards society and is a measure of the organization’s social responsiveness. Ethical behavior and CSR go hand in hand. The paper examines ethics and ethical behavior. In this context, it discusses the concept of CSR.
