Overview: Corporate Governance (CG) framework refers to set of laws, institutions, and practices evolved over time to control and coordinate the business and affairs of an organization. It consists of mechanisms to ensure that management’s actions are consistent with the interests of the stockholders. Organizations, world over, have a definitive responsibility towards society, in general. They are, in many ways, accountable and responsible for prevailing societal trends.
