Overview: The main objective of this presentation is to understand basic concepts of organization structure, understand structural design, and vertical and horizontal linkages in organizations. For developing these structures, the concept of matrix management is very crucial. It is an overlay of a product structure on an existing functional structure, purposefully violate unity of command. For this three conditions are necessary. These are economy of scale in use of internal resources; environmental pressure for two or more critical factor and environment is both complex and uncertain.
