Overview: Outsourcing is retaining ownership of the functions. Technology investment avoidance is becoming a major reason to outsource. As a result, investment in state of the art should only be made in core business processes. The outsourcing mainly consists of employee information, files, and records maintenance, administration of Employee Assistance Program (EAP), new employee orientation training, and hire packets. However, there are few, which cannot be outsourced such as selection of candidates and specialized recruitment, labor relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, collective bargaining agreements etc. For the non-consideration item the presentation discusses the evolution of HR.
