Overview: The committee of conference, on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses, on the amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 3763), to protect investors by improving the accuracy and reliability of corporate disclosures, made pursuant to the securities laws, and for other purposes, have agreed to recommend and do recommend to their respective Houses. The House receded from its disagreement to the amendment of the Senate and agree to the same with an amendment that in lieu of the matter proposed to be inserted by the Senate amendment, insert the provisional sections subsequent to the titles of: Public Company Accounting Oversight Board; Analyst Conflicts Of Interest; Commission Resources And Authority; Studies And Reports; Corporate And Criminal Fraud Accountability; White-Collar Crime Penalty Enhancements.
