Overview: Although the knowledge management field is maturing, a great deal of hand waving and hype surrounds it. False promises and over-expectations are being created; many vendors are calling their products “knowledge management” tools even though they might simply be database, information management or document management tools; a dearth of rigorous methodologies for doing knowledge management exists. Laboratory for Knowledge Management provides few analyzing tool and have develop a more rigorous approach known as SMART (Strategies-Model-Act-Revise-Transfer).
