The Ansoff’s matrix outlines a simple and elegant, approach to generating options for diversification. The output from the Ansoff product/market matrix suggests growth strategies that set the direction for the business strategy and Thomas’s theory of corporate strategic management discusses the concept of direct and indirect linkages that forms the basis for synergies.
