Overview: As an extension of the News Release Policy and a parallel document to the Emergency Management Plan, this plan serves to establish a proper method for the dissemination and management of public information during a crisis situation. A crisis situation shall be defined as any situation or event identified by the President or the Provost as having a major impact on the community. This plan describes the role of the Office of Marketing and Public Relations (MPR) in collecting and conveying information to the public during or immediately following a crisis or emergency situation.
