Overview: There are several reasons for the interest in e-learning, especially sales education: cost savings; availability anytime, anywhere; and focus. However, e-learning has not reached its promise, primarily because of its text-orientation and not accommodating student learning style. This article explores ways of increasing media richness, especially via the use of streaming media, and provides examples with material on handling sales objections and buyer behavior. Besides this, it also discusses several advantages as well as disadvantages of e-learning.
