Overview: One needs to be creative today. There can be nothing more destined for failure in the creative thinking process than just hoping that creative ideas will flow from words of encouragement. It is a well-accepted fact that few people are naturally creative and possess the unique skill and aptitude to come up with "unexpected surprises" - ones that really work and are truly creative. It is known from research on thinking patterns that most brains functions work in a linear fashion and we are primed and have structured the memories to connect to the most obvious and well-rehearsed next location. If creative thinking in a team is to be done well, it takes some time to perfect, both in terms of time for the team to practice and in terms of time in a creative thinking session. If a business could get all its people to think outside of the routine thinking patterns and offer new ideas to stimulate the organizational lifeblood, then it would create a force which none of the competitors could match, and an energy to innovate which would guarantee top place at the leading edge, giving massive commercial benefits.
