Overview: The article is about the business contingency planning, it explains the risk caused in the businesses and steps to overcome the situation. It state how the risk of data loss should be managed. It discusses the need for a comprehensive training program to make a contingency plan work. It take an example of Sept. 11, too many companies particularly small to midsize companies are reluctant to commit the time and capital necessary to having a complete and thorough disaster recovery plan, and even fewer are committed to disaster recovery drills. Too many of them still believe 9/11 is a one-time incident that will never happen again, and certainly not to them. According to one expert, the most common reasons for lost data is human error, employee sabotage and viruses. Terrorist attacks and natural and regional disasters do happen, but they typically account for less than 5 percent of lost critical data. Implementing a solution is a matter of expertise and guidance, but no matter what, it is absolutely good business practice to make sure that it is done, and that it is done in a timely manner. What is the price of doing nothing? What will it cost if you don't?
