Overview: This article is about conventions and meetings which are among the best places for staff to reinforce a member's decision to join and participate in the association. It also includes connecting people and obtaining informal intelligence that can help to improve an organization and to learn about some of the initiatives and tactics associations use to train their staff to be association "ambassadors". It also helps to raise the bar for even the most junior staff members. With a little encouragement, mentoring, and training, one can learn the rules and tools of networking and help making an association- the natural and only choice.
