Overview: The National Investor Relations Institute released the findings of a survey on current disclosure practices among its corporate members. The survey was in response to the February 13, 2002, SEC issued statement announcing its intent to propose changes to its corporate disclosure rules which are designed to improve the financial reporting and disclosure system. Among the changes, the SEC intends to propose rules that will accelerate the due date for companies to file their quarterly and annual reports on Forms 10-Q and 10-K, respectively.
