Overview: The spread of data communications technology throughout facilities is creating a range of challenges, not the least of which is cable management. Successfully tracking new and existing wiring and cabling throughout a facility depends on a manager’s ability to use tactics and resources to stay ahead of the growing challenge. The key to successful cabling system is strategizing and planning. If managers can bid and design data, voice, building management, security and video systems as an integrated package, overall costs will be lower, flexibility will increase, and installation will progress more quickly.
