Overview: The standard direct mail package is the workhorse of direct marketing, but since the anthrax scare, self-mailers have seen resurgence, most notably the mega-log for long copy and the standard postcard for short copy. Due to limited space for graphics and copy, and lack of a response form, postcards works the best. This paper lists the conditions when the postcards work unsuccessfully. It also states as to why postcards are used instead of a traditional Direct Mail package, tri-fold self-mailer, or other formats.
