Overview: Multi-level marketing (MLM) is a perfectly legitimate business model. That's not to say the industry doesn't have its share of low-lifes. MLM involves direct selling of products and services via the personal recommendation and endorsement of independent representatives. In return for the personal recommendation and endorsement, as an independent representative, one can receive a commission on the sale. This paper presents an insight on MLM regarding what it is, how it works, the advantages and disadvantages and who's most likely to be successful at it.
