Overview: In business today, one fact has become clear: The ability to forge, manage and sustain strategic sourcing relationships is increasingly critical to competitive success. Such relationships, however, are often handled in an ad hoc, trial-and-error manner. Outsourcing providers can benefit from encouraging their potential clients as well as current clients to adopt an alliance process. Providers will find it to their benefit if their clients have an organizational understanding as to the reasons why an alliance will benefit their organization.
