Overview: Several lawsuits have surfaced recently in the wake of sudden company layoffs. Plaintiffs charge their rights under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act were violated. It’s an older law (1988) that should be familiar, but some young companies apparently didn’t know about it. The article gives what it takes to be obliged to abide by WARN.
