Overview: this paper will focus on the World Wide Web side of the Internet phenomenon. In order to answer all of the aforementioned questions, we will initially describe the expansion of the Internet. The paper will cover the consequent opportunities and implications for marketing and explain how Internet Marketing can be viewed as a threat to traditional marketing. The paper discusses the limitations of Internet Marketing. We will finally conclude that Internet Marketing is a necessary complement to traditional marketing. The paper will end examining some thorny issues and discuss the traps to avoid when doing Internet Marketing.
