Overview: Product packaging is part of the whole marketing plan for a particular product. Packaging is important because a stunning or attractive package can draw customers to try a new product without that customer knowing anything about it. Think about it practically; if product packaging did not play an important part of a product's overall appeal, then why do companies spend so much money on packaging? If product packaging accounted for nothing, then why not package the product in the cheapest thing that you can find? The reason that many companies spend so much money on packaging is because they know that an attractive package can be the difference between their product being sold.
