Overview: Halo is wildly successful - to this end, too successful. If there's a sure way to ruin the future quality of a video game, it's to demonstrate its potential for turning a major profit. This has nothing to do with the inherent lack of talent of modern game designers - although that is a topic worth discussing as well - but almost entirely to do with the soulless process in which video games are made in the 21st century.
