Overview: One of the most vital and useful tools in construction - especially large scale construction - is the large construction crane. There are a lot of different cranes out there, used for building everything from two or three story steel-skeleton buildings to the towering skyscrapers of Manhattan. Cranes can be put up in different ways. One of the most common, especially with the massive tower cranes used in industrial and large scale commercial building construction, is to use a second crane which is taller and lighter to hoist the crane into position.
