Overview: Careers for graduates with a degree in linguistics used to be limited to work as a foreign language teacher or possibly an interpreter. In this age of communication many more exciting and well paying careers are now available for graduates with a degree in linguistics. Certainly graduates with a degree in linguistics can still find careers in language education but there are jobs now available in private industry and with the government that are worth consideration. As our need to communicate across language barriers continues to grow so will the availability of careers for graduates with a degree in linguistics.
