Overview: The Internet is coming to the rescue. Data warehousing, electronic timecards, HTML document-compiling engines, and all parts of the new technology may solve the problems. The Human Resource (HR) person prepares the data, ships it to payroll, which generates the paycheck and sends tax money to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). When an employee finds an error on his check, "The HR person has to go back and kind of reinvent the wheel," tracking down and correcting the error, including amendments to the ledger and reconciling tax payments.
