Overview: This paper explores the hypothesis that individuals (particularly organizational leaders) attempt to change the culture of their organizations to fit their own personality preferences. Contemporary definitions of culture are presented, and five of the better known mechanisms for categorizing individual personality types are briefly described. This paper provides a framework intended to assist firms in understanding their corporation's identities more clearly and managing them more effectively.
