Overview: There is an abundance of evidence to suggest that Talent Management (TM) is quickly moving to the top of corporate agendas. Our observation based on work with Ashridge clients, that talent management is becoming a key theme driving strategic HRM, is underpinned by IOMA's HR critical issues survey for 2006. This reveals that talent management is the top issue for 75% of respondents. Talent management is becoming a strategic conversation. Chief executives increasingly see responsibility for talent management as their key responsibility, and a recent survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit revealed that CEOs assign as much as 50% of their time to talent management.
