Overview: There's no doubt we're living in a global economy, where borders are nonexistent, on the internet. A website can be reached anywhere in the world, from the largest city to the smallest village, regardless of where the website is physically located or hosted. This paper explains factors to consider when localising a website: content; design; technical issues. Website localisation can be defined as the process of adjusting a website in order to make it accessible, usable and culturally suitable to a specific locale or even a target audience.
