Overview: Too often, the strengths of mobile marketing are overlooked and instead it's treated as an inferior web marketing service. But there's so much more potential to be unlocked. To date, mobile marketing has by and large been limited to Short Message Service (SMS) and text-to-win campaigns. But times are changing and display advertising on mobile internet sites is proving to be far more successful than on the web. While display advertising is a very effective data capture tool, to convey a brand and engage customers, you need compelling content. Of all the areas of content available to marketers on mobile, the only area which is currently showing strong growth is video.
