Overview: You should think of your CV (also known as a resume) as advertising material. Its aim is to sell your abilities to an employer and earn you a job interview. Your CV should answer an employer's question: How will I benefit from employing you? It should provide: a summary of your work history, skills and experience; information about how you perform in different work situations; information about what you have achieved; and a sense of what you are like as a person.
