Overview: The topic of workplace ethics has been widely explored by a number of business, government and other non-aligned agencies around the world, and has been subject to continuous empirical research and interpretations, addressing, among other things, problems concerning adequate implementation. This has in general been propelled by our ever-changing attitudinal, philosophical and societal evolution. Given the aims of the Code, our team (which consists of a cross section of the Department), considered it to be an area that is dynamic and fundamental to the effective functioning of the organisation. Our aim was to identify the problems with the way in which the Code is currently implemented and disseminated, and to consider more effective ways in which we could achieve positive change in a pro-active manner.
