Overview: Instead of a demand market for IT services one is even facing a supply market. Return on investment is more relevant for business then before. Financial affairs in some areas make managers cautious, value for money and transparency are now keywords. Business demands more and more governance and the same applies for IT nowadays. IT-governance is needed as much as corporate governance. And at best, both governance practices arise from the same shared model for managing information and related technology (CobiT [Control Objectives for Information and related Technology]). The operationalisation of certain IT-governance aspects requires quantitative (project) management.
