Overview: Outsourcing offshore - or, as some say, "Exporting jobs" - has become a leading issue in this political year. Companies have long entrusted data centers, networks and the like to contractors who promise better performance and lower cost. Human resources, customer care, logistics, procurement, accounting and other business processes have been outsourced - often, to offshore contractors in such places as India.
