Overview: After years of experience in taxes, stocks and insurance, Rebecca found she was no longer comfortable with the sales focus of many financial service providers. So she decided to begin offering her services and expertise on an hourly, as-needed basis. When Rebecca made this decision, she knew just where to turn for advice: Cincinnati SCORE. She began meeting with SCORE Counselor Jim Hensley to discuss business concepts, including financing and marketing. With SCORE's help, Rebecca did demographic research to find out how many people lived within a certain distance of potential office locations.
