Overview: Kevin LaPlante, the former welder's idea for a gourmet coffee shop and bistro had been perking along nicely. He had an ideal location, a unique product, and a growing number of loyal customers. Kevin's accounting and financial procedures followed the standard formula for successful restaurants. But although Kevin thought he had done everything right, his business was losing money.
