Overview: This paper presents the main findings from a strand of research aimed at bringing together a range of interdependent metrics on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) use in a single framework, to study the relationship between them, and assess their impact on firm level productivity. This is the first study to bring together such a wide range of IT and CT metrics; one of its intended effects is to put the 'C' into ICT. Analysis has been conducted for major sectors across the UK economy to help policy makers assess which metrics should be targeted for measurement and relative importance in terms of productivity impact.
