Overview: Enterprises are using mobile applications in increasing numbers to improve business agility and performance. Information captured and delivered at the edges of the enterprise extends the reach of enterprise applications to the "Point of use" - enabling faster, more informed decisions and actions. To successfully deliver on the vision of a fully mobilized work force, enterprises require an architecture and strategy that incorporates mobility as an intrinsic extension of the enterprise infrastructure. This paper briefly describes Sybase WorkSpace, an integrated tooling platform that allows developers to build enterprise-level mobile applications and presents typical application mobility scenarios to explain the relevant characteristics of Sybase WorkSpace and the surprising simplicity it brings to the otherwise complex process of building mobile applications.
