Overview: As the business world becomes an increasingly globalised environment, innovations in technology and communications underpin every decision and process. As such, more and more organisations, realising their limits in terms of resourcing these technological developments in-house, are building outsourcing and offshoring strategies into their business practices in order to boost innovation in technology and communications through partnerships. Initially, an analysis of outsourcing successes and failures was conducted in order to ascertain whether there were issues relating to quality governance and testing in outsourcing. This paper explains the discussion and subsequent research, the results of which will provide some valuable insights that will help organisations to challenge their own thinking when it comes to quality governance in outsourcing.
